The Kaitakawaenga / Member Liaison Kaimahi is an essential part of the National Office Team of Te Kupenga Whakaoti Mahi Patunga / National Network of Family Violence Services.  We are currently recruiting a 12-month vacancy in the role.
The ideal applicant will be well organised, self-directed and comfortable working from home.

Duties include:

  • Providing support to member organisations (specialist family violence organisations and practitioners) on a wide array of matters including government contracting, practice standards, policies, training opportunities, directions in the family violence sector and matters affecting non-profit organisations.

  • Supporting member organisations to adopt and implement the national Family Violence Specialist Organisational Standards and Entry to Expert Capability Framework.

  • Organising and attending regional and other hui for members and the wider family violence workforce.

The role includes reasonable travel (visiting member organisations, other hui as required) which can require overnight stays of up to four nights at a time.


The successful applicant MUST have:

  • Solid knowledge of the family violence sector at the “enhanced” level of the Entry to Expert Capability Framework

  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability self-manage the workload in a remote working environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Medium level skills in using Office365, Dropbox and Zoom;
